Quick summary: Every current ADAPTIV mattress lists a MATRIX BASE Precision Coil Array in its construction. The Summit models add a NanoFlex Zoned Microcoil Layer above that coil array. Reading those two names separately makes it easier to compare the construction of each model.
This is a guide to the materials listed in each mattress, not a promise of a particular sleep or health outcome. For a guided starting point, use the ADAPTIV mattress finder.
What is the MATRIX BASE Precision Coil Array?
The MATRIX BASE Precision Coil Array is the coil component named in all five current ADAPTIV mattress builds. Horizon Firm lists the standard Precision Coil Array. Ascent Medium and Ascent Luxury Plush list a Precision Coil Array with ATLAS Support Edge. The two Summit builds list a Precision Coil Array with 2X ATLAS Support Edge.
What is a NanoFlex Zoned Microcoil Layer?
A NanoFlex Zoned Microcoil Layer is an additional, separately listed construction layer in Summit Luxury Firm. The retail-exclusive Summit Ultra Plush lists the plush version: NanoFlex Zoned Plush Microcoil Layer. In both Summit models, the microcoil layer appears above the ComfortBridge foam and the MATRIX BASE Precision Coil Array in the published build.
